
Tom Brady has been with the City since 1995, primarily in Public Works, serving as a Senior Engineer, Principal Engineer/Engineering Manager, and Manager of Engineering and Construction Services before being promoted to Director of Utilities in 2020.
Mr. Brady has been responsible for much of the development and implementation of the City's Capital Improvement Plan since 2000, and has provided leadership in capital funding/financing as well as project management and regional intergovernmental relations. He has played a key role in many of the City's capital initiatives including the North 5th Street bridge, the New City Hall and expansion of the City's sewer system to the Speedway area in the Northeast. In his latest role in Utilities, he has spearheaded the City's efforts to extend municipal water and wastewater services to the 7,500-acre Apex Industrial Business Park and implement a full conversion of the City's water meters to AMI smart meter technology.
Mr. Brady was recognized as one of the American Public Works Association's 2021 Top 10 Public Works Leaders of the Year. He has more than 30 years of engineering experience within the Las Vegas Valley and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Nevada. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has had an active leadership role with several local professional organizations.
