The newly-minted police officers join an elite corps of North Las Vegas first responders. They will undergo thorough field training and evaluation for the next six to eight months and will serve constituents from two North Las Vegas police stations.

Graduates completed an intense six-month-long academy that introduces them to the basics of policing. The academy establishes qualifications, training and standards for Nevada’s peace officers; provides instruction on local, state, and federal laws; develops leadership skills; and emphasizes customer service and community engagement.

The graduates were celebrated with a badge pinning and swearing-in ceremony held in the CSN North Las Vegas Horn Theater.
