Celebrate DIA! Diversity in Action

Celebrate North Las Vegas' diversity with a free performance and kids craft project

Join the North Las Vegas Library District for a Polynesian dance performance and kids craft project to celebrate the diversity of North Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Hula will perform dances that highlight the culture and history of the Polynesian islands, and children can participate in a special craft.

The free event is in honor of Día (Diversity in Action), an annual celebration of children, families and reading that emphasizes the importance of literacy for children of all linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

What: City of North Las Vegas' Día celebration
When and where: Three similar events are planned:
 
  • 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 22 at Aliante Library, 2400 W. Deer Springs Way, North Las Vegas
  • 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 22 at Alexander Library, 1755 W. Alexander Road, North Las Vegas
  • 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 26 at City Hall Library, 2250 Las Vegas Blvd. North, North Las Vegas
