The North Las Vegas Fire Department will be graduating its newest 11 Firefighters on Thursday, March 1, 2018. The ceremony will take place at College of Southern Nevada Horn Theater located on 3200 East Cheyenne Avenue. The Keynote Speaker is former Olympian, and current Educator/Counselor/and Psychologist, Dr. Douglas Garner.
The Academy graduates will have completed 20 weeks of intensive and challenging training. The Academy will add six (6) paramedics to the ranks of the North Las Vegas Fire Department. The graduates will allow for better coverage and protection for the North Las Vegas community as well as the Las Vegas Valley. The Firefighters will now go through one year as Probationary Firefighters, receiving more on-the-job training and a solid foundation of firefighting and medical knowledge.
